Anyone that thinks this is a government intrusion issue doesn't have a clue. If you are in poor enough health that a Dr won't pass you fit, enough said. If the government didn't regulate that, any decent company would have a policy in place that wouldn't alow those drivers to drive their commercial vehicles

This will happen to more and more drivers starting in 2016. The questionaire has a bunch more questions than before and the old questions are still there too, except the time limit is not 'did this happen to you in the last 2 years?' it will be "did this ever happen in your lifetime?" like surgery, broken bones etc.

 

Medicals are a joke anyways. Last one I did the guy checked my blood pressure and made me read an eye chart. In and out in 10 minutes. Don't know if that's normal or not since it was the only one I've done so far.

 

I've seen billboards looking for pickup truck owners to shuttle campers. The ad says no CDL necessary.

 

Get a non-cdl driving job.
