E-Logs..... have they (government) ironed out all the wrinkles or ?

Why lose 15 min on 2nd PTI? Even if the company requires it...do your "company required" posttrip after your 14th hr. (No law against line 4 time past 14 hrs...just can't drive until after a 10)

Actually working off the clock is no harder to do than on paper logs. Driving off the clock is a different thing. You could be working on your truck all night long, but switch it to sleeper berth. The slog has no way of knowing. Roll 5 mph, you are driving.

 

Nothing wrong with asking questions. It's the only way to learn.

That's just stupid you ought to be able to edit that little 40 minutes out and get your 34. This is exactly why most of us who dislike elogs do, there's no more room for what should be common sense.

 

It's the government, they're not worried about the wrinkles and the bs. You want a great open g for a horror movie you just have somebody saying they're from the government and here to help.

 

When I was a company driver I ran for a place that would have done exactly that. They would of completely erased that 40 minutes off the ELD.

 

Well you should be able to at least write a comment next to it and the if DOT look at it they should fibe with it.

 

As long as the Feds keep making inflexible HOS there will always be a never ending amount of people finding methods to circumvent their tyrannical mandates.

 

Yea you'll always have guys like me who will go that extra half hour today and be first in line to unload in the morning 10 hours from now.
