motocross25 Thanks this.

I was with them about 10 years ago and it was hit-or-miss back then I doubt it's gotten any better.
-
They are owned by Daseke now, along with 15 other companies.

My buddy worked there for a few months last year. His first dispatcher was awesome, turning 550 to 650 miles a day. That dispatcher got bumped to being a trainer, so he got a new dispatcher. All went downhill after that.

Our trucks still run 70 and have regular apus. Most of our trucks do have idle timers (mine doesn’t) but idling is the number one cause of emissions system issues.
Infact we have actually started buying W9’s again for senior drivers.
Welcome to the family and don’t believe the hype. Especially from the red headed step child of Daseke. Lol.TripleSix Thanks this. -
I hope they don't force changes in equipment. I noticed a bunch of the Daseke companies run Internationals...and I refuse to ever drive an International ever again. So, no matter how much I like working here, I would pull 1 load in an International...and that is the load home to clean out the truck. They could add diesel apu's if they wanted to make us more comfy. But the option of idling is necessary, especially in the extreme cold or in case the apu has issues.
I take a rumor like that with a grain of salt when it comes from other drivers talking over the lunch counter. The guy could just be a disgruntled employee having a bad day. Most of the forum pages I have read from fellow Daseke family companies seem to be having the same generally positive experience, so I am hoping for the best.kylefitzy Thanks this. -
Hey All!
I retired from SPD (Smokey Point Dist.)
SPD was the 1st to become a Daseke Company.
I learned that..
Daske takes their time and watches and learns the who/what/why & how the company works, Then upgrades equipment and tweeks the management to enhance their profitability and bottom line without being overbearing to the employees or management.
All "new" Companies go thru the same process.
If I was able I would still be tempted to go back...but then again...Quartzite in January without dealing with the winter weather is kinda nice..and the Motor Home satisfies the itch.....most of the time that is!
Happy Trails to all..
(and yes ...I still have "itchy feet" for travel..
