TriPac ... is it pronounced Trip-Pack, or Try-Pack?

Can you really scan your Trippak bills in a Trans-flo scanner? My company says yes, haven't tried yet though.

Before engine brakes did drivers totally ride down in 4th gear at 2100 RPMS?

Why is it that Washington DC traffic will always trump the worst traffic you're in right this minute in any other city?
("Man what is the hold up? Guess it ain't as bad as that time I was in DC!")

    Speaking of traffic...

Every time I walk by the radios in the T/S I think, I should just buy one. And then go nah! Yet whenever I hit traffic I think, should've bought a gosh darn radio!

Anyone else suffer from trailer-swingin-itis? Push the tandems back a bit and I can put her right where I want to. Slide 'em up to California-40 and next think you know I'm back on the training pad stomping over asphalt covered orange cones.

Do you sometimes read your company's local directions and think "What kind of ####### witchcraft is this?"

Why would anyone over the age of say 19 want to be seen wearing a trench coat (duster?) at a truck stop?

Anyone ever noticed there are a lot of natural red heads in the state of Nebraska?

It wouldn't be completely inappropriate to start mooing while waiting with five other drivers to snag a shower at a Loves T/S would it?

Speaking of Loves, does anyone else's Loyalty Card magically lose shower credits from the time you pump fuel to the time you go inside and request a shower on the same day?

And the holy grail of unanswered, yet answered, but still not confirmed questions...

PrePass lights up RED, but the light up sign on the side of the road says OK TO BYPASS SCALE. Do you pull in or not?

I say Try-Pack when referring to the APU to prevent confusion.

    Yes.

Don't buy a radio from a truck stop. Go to a reputable cb shop to get something worth using.

Nope, I use my Rand McNally 720 for local directions. (Don't buy one though, get the Garmin 7" DEZL model, less frustrating)

I buy 2000 gallons/month at Love's, so shower credits are never an issue. :p

Never had that happen, but I've had the sign light up telling me to pull in & my prepass gave the green light.

    I bypassed.

Always obey your prepass, regardless of what the sign says. Unless they have the prepass turned off, then obey the sign.

Trippak and Transflo are not compatible.
    They are competitors.

btw in case you didn't know.

    This is for the Scanners.
    Pilot/Fj has Transflo
    Loves has Transflo
    TA/Petro has Trippak.

All of them (as far as I know) have the yellow Trippak drop boxes.

I've been scanning my TripPak envelopes at TransFlo at two different carriers and never had an issue getting paid.

    Absolutely buy a radio.
Absolutely obey your red prepass and enter scale.
Absolutely 7th gear 2200rpm engine fan on and Flintstones braking if I could have.

Absolutely wear a red wig in NE to fit in.

Totally time to hit the old fart sack, I'm tired now.

My two months of reefer experience so far compared to 3 yrs of dry van. Longer loads. Less overall miles. Smaller pay checks. Less rest. More responsibility. These are my ponderings during this home time.
