When I'm in high range and driving let's say 60mph and if I click splitter down, am I supposed to hear it or not until I'm slowed down enough for low gears?

Why would you be going into low at 60?
-
10 speed except super 10, do not have splitter. Only range, which you should be under 20 when going to lo range.

Ok thanks. If I'm at high speed can I still hear it clunk into low range if I select range?
-
The range selector only shifts while in neutral, you will not hear the transmission shift (clunk) while in a gear. IMHO, it would be foolish to play the the range selector at high speeds.

In gear, no. There is a detent spring and pin in the slave valve that keeps air from moving unless the shift forks are in neutralStay Puft, AModelCat, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
There's an interlock on the range of every Eaton-Fuller transmission I've encountered so far. Unless the shift rails are in neutral the air should be blocked from going to the range piston. That's why preselecting a range shift is no big deal.
You can try it with the truck shut off. Put the stick in any gear and cycle the range lever, then move the stick back to neutral and you should hear it complete the range shift.
