What is their safety rateing like. Also....I am pretty skeptical about a company that pays 98% to the truck. You know the saying about "if it's to good to be true" lol. Will check into it further to satisfy my curiosity......there has to be a catch.

Karmakeeper Thanks this. -
I managed to piss off my dispatcher there on the first day by refusing a load going to Great Falls Montana (winter time ).
Had told him I would love to take that load, IF he had a load already booked out of there, that my rig can legally scale, and did not involve a 400 to 500 mile dead-head.
So , he gave me crap loads from then on out, then set me up and got me fired.
Of course, this is the same anywhere.....if you piss off a dispatcher, he will F-you.
Difference is, as an owner operator, this cost a LOT of money.....not like a company driver who is not out a dime and can get into a truck at any other company by end of the week.
Also, they with hold your final settlement for 60 days....and tack on a few other deductions.
As for pay.....my last run paid me a GROSS of $3400.00 for a run from Louisiana to Salt Lake and then to Lewiston,ID and then to Yakima, Wa
I run a team.....EM Way charges $450.00 per week dispatch fee for teams.
I was lured in with promises of $10k gross for a team.
I figured they must have a lot of their own freight..........turns out they have NONE.
I was booked on loads from TQL ( insert the, for F$%# SAKES , here ).
If I wanted to do crap paying F-d up loads from bottom feeding brokers, then I could just continue on with my own authority..........so I did, and I do.....but the big diff now is that I do not pay someone $450.00 + per week, and I book far better ( and lighter ) loads that pay better and never book myself into DEAD ZONES.
Also, they have big communication problems there, very hard to get anyone on the phoneKarmakeeper Thanks this. -
That about what I thought. Another blood sucking company trying to take advantage of OO. I looked at their safety rateing. It's crap.
Thanks for the heads up.
PS. You might as well get your own authority again like you indicated.Karmakeeper Thanks this. -
They are awful! They can not keep office staff! They talk crap about their drivers! Their Safety Rating is low! They have drivers that are constantly being alcohol and drug tested. They do not help you if your truck breaks down. They don't try to get your detention paid. The Owner has been married 5 times! The company is unstable! Stay Away!
