You know, it's really sad, but my expectations are so low (as far as human behavior goes) that almost nothing suprises me. I saw a driver pull into the Tooele UT T/A, and even though he could have stopped at the fuel island, and ran in to pee, took three minutes to park (the whole while on the cell) and then whip it out and relieve himself right next to his drives.
Jessup.MD, the infamous T/A, had to spend most of a day there, waiting for a receiver, and a heavy downpour turns the lot into the world's largest porta-potty. I think I threw those shoes away.
This was frightening:Coming up I-75 (out of cinci) I pass this slow TCI (flatbed) truck in the center lane, well I pull up even with him, and nearly crash due to the shock of what I'm looking at. Dude was PLAYING HIS GUITAR!, with cruise set and a leg on the wheel. So I tried to raise him on the CB, no answer. Fine, I warn the drivers around me, and then I called the OSP. I don't know if they did anything or not, I bugged out of there as fast as my 68 mph truck would allow.
It's behavior like this that really ticks me off, since I always behave in what I think is a professional manner; I pay attention to what I'm doing, and I drive courteously. These bad drivers need to be stopped.
Embarrassed to be a truck driver....

Ceberbus, you know it takes all kinds of people to make this world. Unfortunately, some of them are bad. I just hope those dock workers understand that his behavior, is not indicative to the majority of professional truck drivers. Thanks for the health.

You just gotta love the morons who seem to think "cruise control" and "auto-pilot" are synonymous.

It is no wonder truck stops have such a nasty aroma

I myself have about 16 years of CDL experience hafl in the USA and the other Half all over Europe....I can truly say I can drive a semi with my eyes closed.
Anyway I have done many tight spot trailer back up favors for beginning drivers and I always got a thank you. and I do it with a smile for them...It's mostly the ones who think they are better than the rest that don't say thank you I got 2 words for them "Wannabee Truckers " -
