Actually I ALWAYS run with my headlights on.

I turn my 4 ways on when I get some where between 10 and 15 mph below speed limit, and I put them on after merging off a ramp until I reach 10-15 below posted speed limit. To me I just want other to know that I am traveling slow and hope it helps them see me. Unfortunately in today's world people don't pay attention. I feel the flashers may help them notice me before rear ending me. Even if not and I get hit I can explain I made every effort to warn others.

Many companies require hazards when in the yards. I don't frequent truck stops, but when I did have to back in I didn't turn on my flashers until I found a spot and was setting up to back in.

Also, when it's blowing snow, or fog, please throw your flasher so I know where you are. And when it's raining, turn your #### lights on because when I look in the mirror all I see is gray

OT: Speaking of 'lost arts'. Some of the less - experienced drivers pulling on & off scales make me cringe. If I would've come onto a scale at the speeds I see.....my bruises would still be visible some 30-years later. The weighmaster would have ripped me out of the truck and wailed on me.

What did that scale ever do to you? Slow down.....breathe,
