    @Chinatown
    I’ve posted this too many times already
    But you bring up CF and Conway again and Union issues....
    Conway was created by CF in ‘82 expressly to replace CF and the teamsters
    The shutdown was the end of a 20 year plan to shutter CF and it worked just at it had been drawn up..,.
    The teamsters rank and file at CF refused to believe it and were convinced they could keep it from happening

    Grouch, REO6205 and Chinatown Thank this.

    Trade unions are totally different than labor unions. One of the two has outlived its usefulness.

    I worked with a guy who was 6 weeks short of 30 years with CF when they locked the gates. He went to every union carrier in the St. Louis MO. area, got turned down by every one, he said the union hall didn’t do #### for any of the guys. He had done all sorts for CF, city, road, dock, was even a steward for a stretch. Applied at Dayton Freight, and got hired on to the linehaul board, good driver, always on time, was a good guy. If I recall his name was Paul, but for the life of me I can’t remember his last name.

    I've heard they have really taken off with that idea, and don't want to lose out to a company that issues junky complimentary flip flops.
