I am heading to cdl training at Swift... but once I have the licenses what Endorsements should I am for? how would you prioritize them? how long did it take for you to get each endorsement... and certifications which ones to get? also how important is a passport in the priority list of endorsements and certs?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Take the test for all of them when you go for your permit. You can skip the passemger endorsement since you need to take the test in a bus. All the other endorsements are knowledge test only.

In my opinion, the priority list for the rest of the endorsements is:
    Hazmat,tanker, doubles.

For passport, it's only necessary if your company goes to Canada. Idk if Swift does or not.

What "certifications" are you asking about?

Hazmat I would rate as most valuable. There is also, double/triple, tank and passenger. I have them all, except passenger.

twic and government clearance lol some talked about it on a youtube buy they owned their own truck so could pick up gov work ... twic card sound good though
as for hazmat I didnt know you could take it with the permit but I am glad I didnt overwhelm myself with tests texas already had 4 tests just for the permit and swift had an extra one but I will work on it
as for tanker and doubles i thought you had to actually show you could drive that stuff in a separate driving test after getting the cdl

Hazmat , tanker , doubles and triples in that order. I got em all. Never used the doubles so far.
Hazmat takes the longest because they have to check to make sure your not a terrorist lol. Maybe a couple weeks I forget.

Before my Class A, I had a Class B. I have a P and School Bus endorsement, but since obtaining my Class A, have not used the P or School Bus. I did get Doubles\Triples, Tanker, and HazMat, and used the endorsements in the following order by most to least, HazMat, Tanker, doubles\triples. This may not be real world, I don't drive for a company, I drive to recover trucks for either a finance company, or it's been abandon and they need it moving to a yard or delivered. The abandon and need delivery is usually done by company drivers, unless the load is time sensitive and they have no one in the area, then they will have us do it. The HazMat loads are usually household cleaning supplies, or other materials in a dry van, not a load of chlorine in a tanker.

Isn't there a couple of states specific endorsement too? Like New York and their coils?

More like two months. I have to renew my hazmat every year. Two months wait for background check. Ouch.

You don't have a skills test for Tanker or Double/Triple?
