Hypothetically speaking, if you had a local client in need of shuttle service and needed this equipment, what would your hourly or daily rate be?
    1- dedicated tandem axle tractor
    3-53’ dry van trailers
Probably run no more than 60 miles per day
    4- 11.5 hour days
1- 9 hour day on occasions

Don’t try to factor in new or old equipment cost, just what do you think a market rate should be?
    This is in Memphis.

Shuttling finished goods, packaging materials, and raw materials. Facilities are about 7 miles apart.

$140 hr. for the Truck and Driver. Minimum 10 hrs. $175 per day rental per trailer. I think I could suffer through the day at that rate. $8200+ weekly gross, very little fuel cost. I really have no idea. Just think breaking up the charges would help seal the deal. You have to consider tying up the equipment. I’m sure Ryder or Penske charge more, if they could even get them. Throw in some free parking, and we got a deal.Lol

    Thanks.
You are in the ball park of what I was thinking except I was at $150/hr for truck and driver.

Before I approach the company with proposal I wanted to make sure I was not too far out of line.

Trucking company sales teams often open with 'What's your budget for this?'....followed up with why are you changing carriers?

Their answers should guide your thinking.

This would be a new to them program. Currently running 2 box trucks too many daily trips. Backing product up in the dock area.
