not sure how I hyperlinked all that text to the flatbed form, but oh well
We picked up a load in Houston Texas and spent way too much time strapping it down in 103° heat.
by the time we were done, we were both completely drenched in sweat. We Put towels on our seats and found the nearest Pilot To take showers and change clothes. We didn’t have time to do laundry at the truckstop, so what do you do with a pile of smelly, wet clothing?
This!

Remember to always carry some parachute cord with you!
I posted some pictures in the flatbed form of the load and others we’ve been doing

Unless it's raining why not secure load with conestoga open.
It gets too hot in there.Hilltop Hustler, rockeee and Judge Thank this. -
We always load the Conestoga open. This is just how I dried our sweaty clothes after we were done. We drove 1200 miles like this keep them out of the cabAlbertaflatbed, RockinChair and Opus Thank this. -
Good jobAlbertaflatbed, W923, Sons Hero and 4 others Thank this. -
Good job improvising a clothesline. Well done!
The only thing I would have done different is I would have rinsed the sweat-soaked clothes out in the shower before I hung them up to dry. -
Just think, somewhere there’s a conestoga driver standing around in his skivies waiting for his trousers to air dry.

you have a daylight roof and it looks like it is tall enough to stand up in.
Why drive for a while all nasty sweaty, looking for a truck stop, and hope they have parking. You have a conestoga. Get a couple, three of these, or something similar.

Then climb up in the back, with some fresh clothes, a towel and take a shower. May not be the best, but it will get you cleaner and feeling better. Makes life a bit better.Hammer166, hope not dumb twucker, Nahbrown and 1 other person Thank this. -
Great idea! Next time we drive a Conestoga, I may take one with me -

I do flatbed and based in south Texas. I also use a clothesline to dry my clothes in the truck. I always wear “securement clothes” to load and unload. When I’m done I strip naked and baby wipe myself then change into my “driving clothes”
Nahbrown Thanks this.
