Is the fan clutch supposed to leak air with key on? I've just noticed it today as I was working on the engine bay. 2013 kw t660 ISX 15 engine

I haven't seen a fan clutch yet that does leak air constantly. A quick puff from the solenoid when engaging/disengaging should be it.

You can probably just put a seal kit in it. If the friction pads are still good.

I'd get a Horton replacement and be done with it for a long time.

No it not. Get it fixed. Mine was leaking and it finally burned the clutch out and put me on side of the road overheating.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

13CEAE37-B955-47C7-B783-145D4C0882CA.png Hers an example of the mini kit. Usually 2 types of fans. 1 engages and stays engaged when air line is disconnected. Just crimp the line, by folding it over and tape or zip tie. Stops the leak and fan stays engaged always. Other type uses a bolt to lock it in full time till you can get it replaced. Carry a bolt in the glove box. No need to be stranded with either type.

I have air line supplying air to it. Would I be able to rebuild it myself, clutch kit etc?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
