Trucking is an unhealthy occupation. It kills in a multitude of ways. Getting fat is just one way trucking beats down a human body. Just because you are skinny it does not mean that trucking will not get you. Sane people would demand work/compensation/vacation packages counteracting as much as possible negative effects of this occupation on health. Insane people, overexposed to talk radio, reach out for "personal responsibility" card. It is your personal responsibility to adjust to damaging work conditions without beatching, the line is long. Issue solved as far as the owners are concerned. A brisk ghetto walk after 14 hours in a box will most certainly undo all the damages to trucker' body. When truckers speak as though they have major investments in Prime, Swift, CR England etc. I just scratch my head. It is just hopeless.

While I am all for pushing a healthier agenda and a company being able to choose this option for drivers, but i will say that there is a HUGE difference in BMI and Body Fat %. BMI does not take into account the amount of muscle a person has and therefore I hate it when they use this to punish me on insurance because I am not that bad off when body fat % is calculated. For instance, in 2012 when i was in the best shape i had been in a LONG time, I was at 21% body fat but i was still 285lbs and only 6'1'' tall. According to BMI chart, i was in the Obese or morbidly obese category. Even curretnly, i'm only 28% body fat but according to BMI i am 36-40% range. If they would start going by body fat % i think it would be MUCH more fair to individuals but this is just my opinion.Take it for what its worth.

I have always gone with a couple of charts and they are pretty accurate like now my weight is 154 lbs and I am 5' 6 31 years old I am a fighter though I burn a lot of freaking calories I could stand to eat garbage food in a still burn those calories fast in one training match btw 285 is rather a heavy set even for 6'1 but if that is your choice that's on you can change that there are ways lose weight even as an OTR trucker.
I have helped a few people but unless you get your lifestyle in check to what you want you cannot move forward. What I do is a lifestyle and so do you when I was growing up my relatives were all military I never served for my reasons but they taught me how to fight only one in our entire family had the great honor of being a seal rest either marines and one was the army. My sister went marines anyways they have all taught me some fighting stuff we spar once while but they are not so much to fight as is to kill. My personal fighting comes from wrestling and kickboxing, Krav Maga later in years I picked up a few other martial arts some I have adapted to my wrestling to make easier.SuperRookie Thanks this. -
This thread is bogus...
I’m a 400 LB behemouth.
Prime has no problem with me, and they have even provided me with my own slopbuckets, filled to the brim with macaroni salad.
Just had me one for first breakfast.
