    We’ve got headlight laws here, they don’t enforce them, but don’t wear a seatbelt on a warm sunny day going 25 and you’ll get a $150 ticket.

    Here in Virginia, it is classified as a "secondary law", they cannot pull you over just for that offense, Only if you are involved in an "incident" , then you can be charged. But! I have yet to hear of this "charge" being used.

    This just blows my mind. whenever a person is not wearing a seat belt, the danger is only to that person. But, when a motorist fails to turn on ALL LIGHTS in bad weather, the danger is facing others out there on the road. Everytime an accident is published in the media, it mentions the seat belt. Our priorities are a little out of focus.
