Actually I was thinking of a different shipper up that way, ive been to this one also, this isn't the one you need a truck wash after.....You'll park on the scale when you arrive, check in the office to the left, they have a dock to your left as your pulling off the scale, have to stay in the truck while loading, they were pretty quick last time I was there.

The one you're going to is near Espanola, it's right on the highway.

I was surprised by how light the truck is. I was a 3/8ths tank or a little less granted but I was at 75,100 with 44 and change in the box. IIRC (it has been almost 20 years) part of the reason Schneider kept around the cabovers for so long was they could scale 48k.

    bzinger and cdavis188 Thank this.

It’s a tax write off, no big deal hombre. You do have the luxury of the axle air pressure gauge, mine was very accurate in the Freightliner.

1.75 hours from check in to check out. I've definitely been to a lot worse. Google maps and GPS says to take several state highways to 160 in Colorado, but I'm gonna play it safe and just stay on 285 until Alamosa and then head east on 160. About 15 miles longer but state highways can be hit or miss in terms of being suitable roads for tractor trailers.

Yup, that's the only reason I don't scale, if I know I'm pretty close to 80k I will, but most of our loads are that close to grossing out, and that gauge is very accurate

    runningman0661 and bzinger Thank this.
