Sorry to hear about the reconciliation not working out. Look on the bright side, live out of the truck for a year or two, get debt free, and move forward. Once the trucks paid off are you staying put or looking at other options? Keep your head up!

Learned something new this morning, Love's recently acquired EZ Go which is the convenience stores/gas stations on the turnpikes in Kansas and Oklahoma, they are slowly transitioning the sinage, we can now use Love's points on the turnpike travel plazas

I’m a bit more than two years from 65. I’m not planning on driving beyond that point. For now, I’ll stay put at the pumpkin. Logistically, their network works well for me right now, and frankly I’m just not anxious to delve into a different system at present. I’m practically debt-free now, so no worries there. Just gotta start buying my own health insurance by years end. Oy.

Ol Red just got outta the shower. Doesn't compare to Brad's wheels, but at least I don't feel like a slob anymore. 20230816_134650.jpg 20230816_134658.jpg

Note to self: make sure you make dispatch aware that you need to be home by Friday afternoon at the beginning of the week instead of waiting until you get a load from Wisconsin to Texas to say something.

I assumed I'd get a load back to Nebraska and I didn't. Well you all know what happens when you assume stuff, especially in this industry.

You make an ### out of yourself!!

What did you get out of Wisconsin? That’s odd not to be heading back to Iowa or Nebraska.

    BigR and bzinger Thank this.

Never mind I didn’t read the post clearly enough, I now see to Texas.

My mind is in a fog, I’m bored as all get out, being cooped up in this hotel. I guess I’ll take my nightly trek either to Chilis or Applebees. They’re telling me Friday morning now until my trucks finished.
