Dropped at Four Oaks. Glad Idalia didn't shut them down. Tomorrow pickup Mebane to Topeka for Sunday, pickup KC yard to Hoschton GA for Tuesday. Fine by me!

Loaded in Terre Haute this morning, taking my break at CB now, and heading over to live unload in Omaha in the morning. Then bopping up to Fremont to hopefully get the Qualcomm and the APU fixed. The pre plan I was shown was to go back to CB whenever the truck is done and pick up a preloaded for S.C. which is a live unload for Tuesday. Pointed out to my D.M. that 1150 miles spread over 3-3 1/2 days isn’t super productive. He committed to ask if there was something better but he wasn’t thrilled about it. I guess we’re hard up for freight because of the holiday. If I do wind up with this as planned my best theory is to bust butt to S.C., find somewhere decent with in a couple hours of the consignee and get another reset so hopefully when we’re ready to go I can get some miles.

A busy day is afoot. Had to come home last night to rescue one of my cars. Alternator decided not to exist anymore. $260 for a new alternator and another $190 for a battery. At least the alternator on my car can be swapped out in 10 minutes.
About to pull out of town to drop this load at Chewy in Belton, MO. Then backtracking to Lawrence to pick up a preload for Fremont, then after dropping that, I will head to Aurora to pick up a load to take through the house.
I also drove 12,100 odometer miles for the month of August, which is a marked improvement over previous months. -
Also for those wanting to come to FCC and wondering about numbers, in 6 months I drove 61,468 paid miles, and grossed just under $42k.
A disclaimer though that I was OTR until the end of June when I switched to regional, which meant I got .06 cpm more than I do now. I also had a decent bit of unpaid deadhead miles, more time off then needed, and a 10 day vacation in June which impacted my miles some.
But since July 13th when it started counting my 3rd quarter miles, I've driven 17,841 paid miles.hotrod1653, dwells40, wulfman75 and 2 others Thank this.
