I think BigR or someone else was there not too long ago, but they didn't exactly get a glowing review

    Didn't do a proper recap.

After I dropped in Shell Rock yesterday morning, I went over to Fort Dodge, IA and picked up a load going to Lincoln. Dropped that last night and stopped at a rest area. Picked up another load this morning in Aurora going to Ochelata, OK that I will deliver Sunday evening. Currently at home setting up a dishwasher

Well the rain messed up my weekend plans I was running late already, but the rain made it worse. I should have had this ellabell set for Monday knowing how tight it was to deliver, and could have just went home for a 34, now taking a 34 down here until Monday morning.

The Eaton Autoshifts in Freightliners at my old employer were notorious for weirdness that would be cured by replacing the fuses. Fuses wouldn't be blown, but you had to put new ones in. Always carried several of each (there was a 10 Amp and a 30 Amp).

I've heard nothing but bad things about those Eaton autoshifts

Been a day for phone calls.
Ryan in recruiting called to do my 30 day interview and ask how things are going and how happy I was. So I'm moving to a new DM. Hopefully things can get a state of smooth equilibrium.
Spoke to my new DM for a few minutes mostly just to try get in sync.
Boss at the old company called to see how I was doing and to mention they're fixing things and they'd given out a good sized raise (15% +) and they missed me and would really like for me to come back. It's nice to be loved.

So we had the quarterly driver advisory board meeting today. Some quick highlights, the proposed drop yard change in KCMO fell through, because the new facility wasn’t gated, and the owner refused to upgrade, so no bueno. They still have real estate agents looking for a suitable location.

The transition to the new replacement for Omnitracs will begin sometime next month. The new system in called geotab, and they have done months of beta testing, and fill comfortable enough to start the transition.

We’ve only received about 25 of the 112 trucks on order. The 10 new Mack’s are at Carrier having APUs installed, a batch of KWs are built just waiting to be shipped, these have a battery APU system. The new batch of trailers should start art arriving inOctober.

For those of us that frequent the SE, we will have 3 new shippers out of SC going to HD in Topeka. For now, those will be live load facilities.

Freight with our core customers looks strong into the first quarter of next year.

I brought up that issue that @cdavis188 and Ryan had a few weeks ago at that paper mill out in NM. To Guy’s (head of sales) credit he was unaware of the issue. He immediately fired off an email to his POC at the customer, who replied promptly and explained that a production line had gone down causing the issue.

In closing, I always knew FCC cared about the drivers, but being on this board has shown me that the people in charge, do their very best when making decisions, to take into account how these decisions will affect us as drivers. Most companies could care less, and worry more about the bottom line.

BigR, Speed_Drums, Oxbow and 12 others Thank this.

Negative on the manuals, half will be double bunks, the other half will have extra storage where the second bunk would be.
