Pulled into Fremont about an hour ago to put my truck in the shop. They nabbed the trailer I was pulling to get that serviced as well. Trailer should be done before too long but my truck will take awhile. Called Travis this morning to let him know I was coming but apparently there’s still a couple trucks in front of me. That and I’m having them address the air bag issue and see if my windshield needs replaced. Picked up a decent sized rock chip in it last week.

When I get my truck back, I’ll drop my trailer in Lincoln and then grab a trailer over in Aurora that goes down to Los Lunas for Sunday, then they’ll figure out where I’m picking up from Monday morning. They’re going to run me on recaps until next Wednesday.

In the meantime, I’m sitting in the lounge watching the Rifleman.

Well for once I can't complain about a lack of preplanning. I'm booked for 1941 miles by noon on Tuesday. That will land me in the Omaha metro area which will hopefully have me positioned to get the truck looked at. Batteries are going down very quickly so I assume there is either a battery or batteries going bad or a parasitic load. Also by then the truck will be due for service again :D. While I'm there I can get the cab card and IFTA and hopefully get the Geotab training out of the way. Getting mildly anxious about how we're going to get back to the homestead Wednesday but I'm just glad to finally be preplanned so I don't want to complain (not super hung up on the day, I have worked the last 11 thanksgivings so I can deal with getting home Thursday or Friday but I want several uninterrupted days of 'civilian life' after being out for a month).

    dwells40, runningman0661 and cdavis188 Thank this.

Watch is a relative term. Mostly had it on for background noise. More of a Gunsmoke and MASH person. I did actually watch Adam-12 when it came on though

It most likely has the original batteries then. They usually last between 250-300k before they need replaced. I can’t remember the exact mileage that my Magnum truck was at when they needed to be replaced but it was somewhere around there. I would get that taken care of sooner rather than later. When mine went, even my APU wouldn’t start to charge them.

Well they found out why my air bags would go flat after 10 minutes. One was leaking and the other 3 were cracked, so they put all brand new air bags on. Windshield needs replaced as well but they’re gonna wait until next service to do that. My truck will probably be down for a good portion of the day since when they seal the new windshield, it’ll need to cure for about 4 hours.
