Unfortunately #### happens in trucking. Glad to hear that you’ll still be able to make it though.

Holy smokes! If you want a killer burger try Doosies just down from the CB yard across from Casey’s. Got a bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings.

Been a while since I have posted but still keep up with the blog. Doing a 34 @ the TA in Concordia MO. Saturday morning I will roll to Newnan GA and deliver Sunday afternoon, then head to Anderson SC for a load going to Omaha, then a backhaul home (Four Oaks presumably). This trip out, have been to Texas and California. It's why I do the holidays. I get out of my KC to 4 Oaks trench for awhile. Oh by the way, was in an accident on I 80 near Kearney NE last week. An elderly lady had gone into the median at the 279 yardstick. She made her way out then her NYC sport utility made a 90 degree turn and caught my drive then knocked off one of my trailer tires and smashed and FUBARED the rim, and bent the rear axle. It was rainy and 230 in the afternoon and it took TA 6 hours to arrive to replace tires and rims. They were done around midnite, but the axle couldn't be repaired and the tech said not to drive on it. Nearly two hours later a man named Gary showed up from Kearney Napa and Towing said that since we were going a short distance to their yard, try driving on it. It was 230am, had been there for 12 hours and it was snowing. I wanted off that road, so off we went and in 10 minutes we were there at their yard. Boom, finally went to sleep. Thanks to Doug in night dispatch. He called around, no one wanted to come out and assess until Gary did.
The next morning, breakdown calls and says they want me to drive the trailer an hour back to the Aurora NE plant to offload into another trailer, but would have to get approval. Three hours later, FCC got approval so off I went and dropped the trailer and bobtailed outta there. Took a nap at a nearby rest area. Called the plant at three hours later(5pm) and said to check back at 8pm. Checked back the next morning at 7am, and they said it was still in a door, but check back in 30 min. Called back and said load was completed and the yard doggy would drop it on the go line. I arrived, hooked it and off to Victorville CA I went. Got paid 1.5 days breakdown. The lady was doing fine last I heard, no injuries and not at fault for me. Thank God! Merry Christmas to all. Hopefully home for New Years, the adult holiday.DonRobbie, Friend, runningman0661 and 3 others Thank this. -
As for starting pay depends on experience and division.Last edited: Dec 21, 2023
