Found a new restaurant yesterday morning. If y’all are picking up in Jefferson WI, head north to the Pine Cone Truck Stop. I normally go there to Scale and grab a freshly made doughnut (or two) and roll on out towards Madison.

Yesterday the wife and I had time to grab breakfast before heading to Crete and checked out the restaurant behind the retail store.

A bit pricey, what isn’t today, but you got a lot of food and all the breads were fresh made in house. French Toast, homemade. English Muffin, homemade too.

I had Steak and Eggs when she told me they cut all their own steaks too.

    I’ll be back again.

Check it out when you are in Jefferson.

One of my favorite truck stops. Wisconsin itself is one of my favorite states to travel in and through

So I have four options for mini fridges in my area.

Target has a Whirlpool brand that looks exactly like the fridges installed in our Freightliner’s for $220

Menards has what I assume is their own brand, Criterion, for $170

Wally World apparently has a Galanz one for $150

All of those are 3.1 cubic feet

Lowe’s has a larger 4.4 cubic foot mini fridge, but with a larger price tag at $270

    Which one would be better?

Probably all made in the very same factory in China. So it probably doesn’t matter too much but I haven’t had any direct experience with any of them since college. I’d say the Whirlpool one but only because it’s a name brand vs store brand, if that even means anything anymore.

Did you check with FCC? They might have a better price since they are buying several every year or buying from a middleman vs retail. I’d at least shop them for a price and if they would sell you one.

In my experience, Galanz is a pretty decent product. I have had the 700 watt retro microwave for about 3 years now. I want to upgrade to the 900 watt one with the air fryer, but the installed inverter in my current truck can’t handle that wattage. I had bought the Galanz fridge, but returned it and went with an Alpicool that looks like a cooler. Wish I had stuck with the Galanz.

Just saw several in the dumpster. They probably do have a few used ones around… or could pull one from a truck being pulled out of the fleet.

Oh yes. I’ve hit the Dawg on many occasions. Even parked at Pilot and walked over a few times.

yes, good wings but they quickly raised their prices on them.

I thought there was a place close to the CB Yard where you stayed in a hotel/motel. Maybe you were talking about Salty Dogs.
