FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Yeah, you don’t get a day off, but on the other hand you can piddle around more and still drive 3000-3500 miles a week on recaps. It’s just that 450-500 miles a day feels a lot less productive than running 600+

 

I chose the hottest time of the year here to go lol.

 

Take the glass turntable out when not in use. That's what I did cause I can't stand the noise of it banging around. I didn't use the microwave much but it's easy enough to put it in place when I did use it.

 

Did the restaurant at the Petro across the parking lot survive the epidemic? Been awhile since I was there.

 

Well Tuesday night I dropped in Topeka and hid out by the airport with about 17 minutes to spare. Wednesday morning my DM said she was workin on what to find me, then I got a message about some loads out west that were available. I haven’t been out there in probably 10 years and may never have the opportunity again. So I called and put my name in the hat and got Aurora NE to Grandview WA. Sitting in Big Springs NE now waiting for my time to come back then onward and upward. The weather over Cabbage Hill Friday looks dismal at best, I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll be trying out these tire socks.

 

Been a long dam time since I been out that way. Maybe my next truckin midlife crisis adventure!!

 

I left yesterday and grabbed a Kawasaki load to drop in CB so I could get an inspection. I mentioned I wouldn’t mind getting out of the Midwest for a week as long as I was back home by next Saturday. I said I was fine with anything going northwest. About 5 minutes later I had a load out of Lincoln with drops in Billings, Great Falls, Missoula, Hamilton, and Butte. I get to see some friends for dinner in Missoula Saturday and hang out Sunday. Drop Hamilton on Monday morning then over Lost Trail and Chief Joseph taking the back way to Butte. It’s going to be a fun trip.

You rascal! That’s the one I had my eye on. Since I was in Topeka it made more logistical since to go to to Aurora for the one I’m on to Grandview. Good for you dude that’ll be a sightseeing tour. Keep posted how it goes please! Safe travels!
