Oh theres been several. I was here about 6 hours and FCC told me to start heading west and to take it to CB yard and someone would take it back to WA from there. 4 more hours my 10 was up so I said no problem I’ll let my hours come back and I’ll boogie. At 10:01 in the sleeper I went in to use the facilities then was gonna start my Pretrip. I came back to 2 messages and 2 calls from FCC. The shipper wants me to stay here they are going to try to talk the consignee in 1 more time tomorrow to take it. So here I sit still. The problems are numerous and WAY above my pay grade, one of them is the consignee here is saying A) they did not order them as they just got some last week B) they have no room for 30 pallets and finally and maybe most importantly, C) they are not even the correct size and will not fit their bagging machines. To me it seems like a pretty big “oops” to ship 18 tons on 30 pallets across country only to have them go back. So I’m sure somewhere in Yakima someone is trying to prevent their head from rolling. Which brings me to my main complaint; there is a 3 hour difference in the where I’m at to where these came from. Once everyone HERE had realized something had gone awry, it was 5 hours before anyone could get ahold of anyone THERE. So needless to say my truck interior is spotless, my apu is getting a workout and I’m keeping my eyes out for the ever dangerous and oft underestimated spotted lantern fly.![]()

Got a call from Shane this morning. Since the dealership will most likely have to pull the tranny and clutch to find out what’s wrong, and because it has almost 490k on the clock, they’re just going to put me in a new truck. Now whether that entitles an actual new truck or a ‘new to me’ truck i don’t know.
Now i sit and wait for breakdown to find someone to take me from Lincoln to Fremont. I’ll probably sneak in a shower here in my motel room before i check outMidWest_MacDaddy, drvrtech77, bzinger and 3 others Thank this. -

I think from some of the things said in the newsletter they are trying to cut costs, and buckle up for the next few months. Things like asking to control idle time, following the fuel program, being stricter on only 1 truck wash a month, watching out of route miles, and the next 50 trailers on order won’t have the red and black stripe all the way down. Little things add up in the profitability of a fleet.
Nice to see new lanes, I guess HD in Topeka and Joliet will be where a lot of those new lanes deliver.MidWest_MacDaddy, DonRobbie, motocross25 and 4 others Thank this. -
Local flatbed driver picked me up and took me to Fremont. Got into a new truck. 2025 Cascadia condo. Around 1,500 miles on the clock. Probably the one that was used to pull a couple other new trucks to the terminal.
Took the company van down to Lincoln and got my old truck cleared out. I’m gonna stop by somewhere here in town to grab a bite to eat and then head back to Fremont. Planning on attending the safety meeting in the morning and then i’ll bobtail down to CB to grab a trailer off the yard heading to Four Oaks.
Shane also put in for 3.5 days of breakdown. A little over $900 of breakdown pay when it’s all said and doneMidWest_MacDaddy, bzinger, hotrod1653 and 7 others Thank this. -
