No kidding. I would rather go to LA than Dallas. My last 6 trips to the LA area, I saw maybe 2 crashes. And I'm not sure one of those was a crash. It may have just been that the car was broke down. One of those trips, we got a rental car, and went up to Big Bear, stayed the night, and then drove ALL over the place the next day. We went to Mount Baldy, Santa Monica, Malibu, and came back through Hollywood for grins on the way back to Hesperia. On that trip didn't see a single crash, and even Hollywood/Vine and the Sunset strip were quiet. On the other hand.... Dallas.... I can not go and NOT see at least 2 or 3 crashes.... MINIMUM. Last time, I was going to drop a load at the South Dallas yard, and US75 was Slooooow all the way from Mckinney to Downtown, and then almost stopped through Downtown, and slow all the way to at least the Trinity River. Google showed 2.5 HOURS to go from Mckinney to the yard, and it was already backing up North of the PGBT. Soooo... I jumped off at the turnpike, and slid down to I-30, to take the loop from there to the yard. And between Rockwall and Mesquite, I saw NINE MORE SEPARATE CRASHES. Seriously... to HELL with that place. Out of ALL the hellholes in the lower 48 that truckers hate going to, when I see a load assignment that has ANY city in the
D/FW hellholeplex in it, I always die a little inside, and then figure out if I can run through there after about 0200. If not, I still go... BUT I DONT HAVE TO LIKE IT! I would rather have Carolina Reaper Diarrhea, and then wipe my hole with 150 grit single ply wax paper truck stop"toilet paper" than go to that part of TX.

I'm seriously thinking of swapping over to FCC im not a job hopper so i'm doing serious research,
I already talked to someone in fremont. I Live about 100 miles from DFW right now,
is southwest regional truly 70% drop and hook? Is it like load in omaha area drive it down to texas then back up to NE area or a bunch of short runs in tx? i dont care about being home every week i prefer 2 weeks+ out and 3-4 off to be honest, Are the loads tight or open window? And trucks run 68? And i heard there a drop yard in dallas do they allow you to take 10 hour break there?

More like 85-90 percent drop and hook. Mostly NE/TX, with KC & a few other areas... not always Dallas, but plenty of that dam place!.. you don't have to go home every weekend, you can stay out as long as ya want. Yes there's a drop yard in Dallas and you can sleep there... I think company trucks are still 68..

Yup. They are pretty quick and windows are closed. :)

Good customer and easy in and out. Just found it interesting the two different approaches for their two different docks. Might have a drastic difference in load volume.

I think mine is the same but after that last update the screen loves to jump back and forth from Portrait to Landscape and even upside down. I haven’t seen it doing that before. Or at least not nearly as much. It always gets my attention from the corner of my eye… like “what was that?”… “oh, just the screen doing its gymnastics again”… lol

Maybe I need to look for some kind if rotational lock feature. Lock it in Portrait mode and leave it.

I have divided my use of the App in two. I keep the HOS portion open on the tablet since that functionality has to be mounted and easily accessible. But all communications (Chat with DM, Load Assignments, status updates, macros, etc) I use my iPhone for like I’ve been doing for the last 4 years.

Saves jumping back and forth within that Single App I always have my phone on me too so that helps comms.

When we were beta testing it, there were two separate apps. The TRANSFLO App and the HOS App. I think I personally preferred having them separate but I’m sure I don’t see the backend benefits of letting TRANSFLO maintain full control.

Dude, don’t beat around the bush. Just tell us how you feel about DFW. No need to dance around the issue. ;-)
