I just went through there both ways on Monday and didn’t have any major issues. I didn’t have to detour at all

 

81 is fine. The road between the truckstop and Freightliner is closed.

 

Would be a shame if Kawasaki got their checkbook out for some rock.

The lady in the guard shack asked what I thought of the lake. I said they’re a little deep and she told me she found that out the hard way when she went smoking through the middle hole in a Mule with no doors.

basically going back and forth between KC and Nebraska. Picked up in Blair yesterday with a load headed to Georgia and dropped it in KCMO, and picked up another trailer there going to Pepsi in Lincoln. Delivered that this morning and swung by Kawasaki to grab a Goodlettsville load that i dropped at the ACT yard again. Then went up to pick up a load in St. Joseph. Stopped for the night at Garden Inn Truck Plaza. I will deliver to Crete in the morning.

It’s not the most glamorous stuff but it gets me more miles at the end of the day vs just sending me home 3 days early

 

Yep that sounds good. I’m due home Thursday night and I’m typing this in Sioux City headed for Menards in Valley for tomorrow. I’m hoping too I can do something like that. My DM is REALLY good at getting me home when I request. Sometimes too good. She’ll get me home 2 days early just to be safe. Which is fine I’d rather be early than late, but I like money too. I’m gonna see if I can’t ping pong back and forth as well. Then again I might just say piss on it after the last couple weeks I’ve had. It’s been live load and unload hell. I just got a trailer out of my life that I’ve had since last Tuesday, which I don’t need to tell you, is VERY out of the ordinary.
