FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I dropped at Home Depot in Joliet yesterday afternoon and bobtailed to the motel for the night. Went to the empty lot this morning for a trailer a reloaded in Chicagoland to head home.

 

When I was there in 2021, it was nearly impossible to get from the facility to the empty yard without getting lost or being on a road that didn't exist anymore.

There’s a new empty yard on Intermodal Court across from Schneider’s terminal. It’s only a couple miles from the DC.

Sitting in Baytown getting loaded and CR England comes wheeling in with one of their 3 bunk specials. I’m guessing 2 trainees and 1 trainer, but all 3 looked oblivious. I couldn’t imagine sharing a truck with another dude much less TWO others.

 

Probably smells like feet and farts inside. Wonderful training.

 

Well, there's a fella hangs out round here I heard used to like sharing a bunk in another dudes truck at a former job. don't wanna know what kinda "training" went on there!!

 

I run team 5500 miles a week 30 yrs ago in a c/o Pete. Had a great codriver but no desire to live that lifestyle again. I couldn’t even stand to do the OTR stuff that you guys do. 5 days out is enough for me. No 34hr bs in the middle of the week or stuck out on the weekends in BFE.
