What do you guys get for breakdown pay? Or you can just tell me it’s none of my business. Lol.

    Ya, in the background.

It’s easy to miss … but if you look at the dog, and then squint a bit, then look up and to the left, and if you are living a right life, you too might be able to see the outline of a Truck. Some say it’s Silver, others say it’s Blue. It’s one of those internet weird things that no one understands why people perceive it differently.

… or just appreciate the dog.

When I got mine a couple weeks ago from what I deduced they kinda treat it like vacation and avg your miles per day. How far back they go however to get that average I’m not entirely sure. I was down for a week and my paycheck wasn’t too awful short of what it would have been had I been running.

pretty generous. I’ve gotten anywhere from $200-$250/day. I got a little over $800 for 3.5 days

Layover pay seems to be the same

That’s better than a kick in the shin. When I pulled flatbed for my old boss if we broke down on the road he’d pay for the room and food.

If you have to have a hotel they’ll pay for or reimburse that in addition to breakdown pay.

    cdavis188 Thanks this.

Had a 1 stop Kawasaki load for Salem IL today that come off the KC yard. Rolled those babies out about 12:30 and pulled into Pepsi in St. Louis at 14:15 and left at 20:00. What an absolute cluster. They said they had a water line go down last week, so catching up from that coupled with the upcoming holiday it’s a madhouse. Supposed to unload in South Sioux City at 0900, needless to say.. that ain’t happening.

With the breakdowns and the slow freight I think this is the first quarter I won’t make my bonus. As of the last check I’m at 15200 miles for the quarter, Every full quarter I’ve worked here I’ve gotten over 34k miles.
