FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

This is my last visit to Fort Dodge, took a couple tries to get it right. Had half a tank.

 

when i got my new drives on my Pete it felt like i was going to wreck my truck on every curve. It didn’t help that it was raining. It took a good couple thousand miles before that feeling mostly went away

 

Found this in my grill guard yesterday. I hate touching dead things so I moved it with my 5th wheel puller


Also later that day, EB I-40 was at a standstill west of Seligman, AZ because someone decided to wreck their pickup in the construction zone

 

Finally got a load this morning. An 11 am live load at Oxbow Pet in Omaha. Here waiting on a door. The reviews aren’t looking great. Drag this to KC and swap it for a trailer goin to Maryland Heights to double drop in a door after business hours. Judging by the loaded trailers on the CB yard (about 7+/-), freight is not looking great this week.

Installed crossfires onto drives today got 90 day inspection done grease service everything is good

 

Sadly i couldn’t take my load all the way to Savannah. I wouldn’t be able to get there before they close on Friday and they don’t open until next Tuesday.

Swapped trailers with another driver in Santa Rosa, NM. This one’s going back to Victorville. Hoping to get west of Albuquerque this evening and then hump it to Barstow tomorrow. If i have time i’ll drop in Victorville tomorrow afternoon, if not i’ll drop it early Friday morning.

i really wouldn’t mind it if I-40 was in better shape. This was my first time taking this truck this way, since i usually only run 40 during the winter months. And let me tell you i wish i had ol’ 1611, because this Freightshaker definitely lives up to its name on this road

 

Haha yea it’s just rough dude. I used to taking grinding balls down to Green Valley AZ south of Tucson from KC… it ain’t no better in a hood either.
