I would say if the truck has been good to you, rebuild the motor, and have another 800k miles of life. Another used truck has its own problems and stuff. Plus you already know your truck and all its tendencies.

    Just my .02

Even Tim said last safety meeting that if one of our trucks has been good to us, they’ll let it run to 550k or 575k

I thought Inframes were $25k get a quote from a reputable shop to make sure of that. If you found another international for $25k with a lot lower miles I guess that would make sense to buy a truck like that.

Absolutely not, a simple inframe o n a modern engine is in the mid $40K range. When I started 30 years ago you could get one done for $10K on the old mechanical engine, not today.

On this Cummins, a new turbo is $10K, a six pack of injectors will run about $7K. It’s gotten ridiculous

I'll ask for a quote on my dd15 next time I'm over at interstate power just to see but another guy was telling me they are around $25k I will also ask turbo and injector pricing. I would guess Cummins might be more expensive idk. I might look into trading mine at 800k also if it starts showing excessive wear those international trucks are the cheapest out there I'd like to try one of those s13 trucks maybe I'll just test drive one. I'd have to get a manual transmission truck though I can't stand one of those automatic ones that jerk backing up.

Back in the old days of 2012 it cost me just over $12k for an in frame on my Series 60 in the FLD. That’s the last one I paid for. Lol.

Company flatbed driver, with no need to contemplate an in frame, update.

Delivered my load of granite slabs from Houston in Lincoln yesterday, originally due Monday.

Before delivery yesterday, I spoke with dispatch and agreed on another turn out to Riverside for Tuesday after I take a 34.

In the "old" days of 8V71 inframe was around $1500 for parts. Could pull into our shop in the afternoon and our guys would have it finished in the morning.
