I ran into that situation and had to find a place to turn around legally.

Could it be that your set points for it to start and stop are out of whack?

I’m in the Cullman, Alabama vortex. Headed that way again, will drop tomorrow, go back over to Bridgestone in Tn, pick up a load, drop in Illinois Monday morning, grab a trailer out Addison, Illinois for Council Bluffs. I guess miles are miles, it will all add up at the end of the week.

@runningman0661 not to be off topic, but when and if you look at another truck, Citra truck sales down by me in Ocala looks to have a nice selection of good used equipment.

    rokue and runningman0661 Thank this.

Just looked at there website, most of their inventory has to many miles for me. I’m looking for something in the mid to upper 3K range. I actually have a couple sales guys keeping there eyes open for used Walmart trucks that meet my criteria.

Delivered in Champlin, MN and swung over to Becker for a load of paper rolls that i will drop in Council Bluffs. I have a load off the yard going to Henry, TN but it doesn’t deliver until Monday. So in the meantime i’ve stopped in Fremont for an unneeded 34 and will roll out Sunday morning

    Goody3635 Thanks this.

@runningman0661 is it even cost effective to rebuild this new generation of trucks? The few of us where I work that are on a regional run ran our trucks in the mid 5’s to mid 600’s and the company is just pulling them and selling them as we get a few new ones to replace them. Seems like when I started 21 years ago, “in-frame” was a term you heard a lot of, now it seems like fleets just go to the 500K mark and get rid of them.

it has a lot to do with the emissions systems on these trucks. It’s just not cost-effective to keep them high mileage anymore because of the thousands of dollars that the systems cost once they start going haywire

    cdavis188 Thanks this.

the emissions garbage seems to be a lot more reliable now than they were when they first introduced them, for whatever that’s worth

at least until those new emissions regulations take effect
