    The Meyer IH truck unloads auto parts on back side of Wilson's old auction building, the TranService truck likely just left battery plant, all here in town. I was out and about about 0930 and city streets were already slick even though they salted them yesterday afternoon. I saw another shot of a Great Plains truck wrecked at Ohio St exit. I don't care what your plans were, how unprepared you might have been or how hot the freight was....it's utterly stupid to leave out in those conditions.

    So I’m sitting at my laptop crunching some numbers from the lifetime of ownership of the truck I sold today.

    I paid $66K for the truck in May of 2021 and sold it today. That truck grossed $860,477.54 in revenue and netted $411,721.63 since I owned it. 18 of those months were at Landstar and the rest here at FCC. I think the return on that investment was pretty sweet.
