@Modlite11 have you ever been to Universal Motion in Costa Mesa, CA? It’s right next to John Wayne airport. It mentions flatbeds in load info so i figured you might have been there. Load is going to Lindsay, NE

    Modlite11 Thanks this.

Well, the grocery warehouses were as good as grocery warehouses get. I was in both very early and left before my appointment time at both places (I’m glad I don’t pay the lumper charges though, $170 to take off half a truck).
Got to Crown Bolt in Carlisle for a drop and hook and that’s when things got silly. They were having an all hands meeting and doing a “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” knockoff about safety procedures. Spent half an hour being an unwilling eavesdropper to the mandatory fun. The JB driver waiting in the cage with me had been there over an hour and was spitting nails. Get my bills finally and they say my trailer is #53L102W. So I had to check all the FCCs there to match the seal #. Fortunately there were only 3 but of course it was the last one. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry and no one has time for that.
So anyway after I dropped that I picked up in Holland, Michigan. I was supposed to drop that in Waverly, Nebraska but they changed plans so now I’m dropping it in Lincoln tomorrow then heading over to the Bovine Footwear factory to take a load to Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
Have to grab a 34 hour and zero seconds reset on Sunday so I can be down there Monday morning.
Scheduled to be home Wednesday night so I suspect I will be running back up to Joliet or Woodridge, Illinois and then heading home from there but they do surprise me often so we’ll see.

Take CA55 to Baker St, turn left on Paularino, turn right on Red Hill, turn left on Clinton st. Follow to end turn in along highlighted marking. Press call button on call box, they generally just open gate. Drive through “flatbed load here” signs. Docks on back corner as highlighted.

Shipping office (inside behind docks) just needs where you going and load number “Lindsay 27890blah” IMG_7277.jpeg

DonRobbie, Knucklehead and cdavis188 Thank this.

the guy who’s selling those is the person i bought my 75 Cadillac from. Pretty good dude. Thought he only specialized in the 71-76 GM B-bodies but apparently not

Do you guys hire out of North Dakota? Got a former Holland driver get ahold of me that’s looking to get back into trucking, and wants to be Midwest regional.

Holland can’t do that for him, he doesn’t want to be regional at S&S…. Doesn’t want to work at Magnum either.
