To catch up..
Delivered in Chula Vista yesterday morning after driving to the customer the night before. They unloaded me an hour early!
Speaking of the DEF situation, my phone call only consisted of us getting as much def as possible at the terminals.
Picked up my preplanned load yesterday as well. Looking to deliver the first stop before they close up shop. But I have a window until Friday.

Got hung out in the weather on 80, and had to run over my 11 by ten minutes or so to get parked. First, what’s the best course of action with safety? Second, why the hell wont they turn adverse conditions on when we need it?
-
I don’t think you can use adverse conditions when the storm is predicted for days before it happens.
runningman0661 and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
It’s like sheep following each other off a cliff. Stop before the turd hits the fan.

It’s vague by my estimation. Weather doesn’t qualify unless it qualifies. Then everything that goes with the weather qualifies unless it doesn’t. It’s as poorly written as the split break reset issue.
I suppose I just got myself into a crappy situation. I had plenty of time left to get parked, and started looking at 1600. My intended spot was completely full, and I wound up burning the clock up in deteriorating conditions, unable to get off the road at any of my backups. I should have just gone to Walcott, but I still had 3 hours on the clock, broad daylight, and reasonable weather.Goody3635 and Knucklehead Thank this. -
I wouldn’t worry too much. Just make a notation on your logs about what happened. I was a little surprised by the lack of traffic today when I was coming across 80. It was pretty decent running for the most part.
Knucklehead, cdavis188 and Pigdude Thank this. -
To revert back to the idling conversation, when I hired in and had the truck tour with Glenn, he said to idle the truck below when the temperature is 10 degrees.
Goody3635, Knucklehead and cdavis188 Thank this. -
These APU's also will not keep up in ambient temperatures above 85-90 with the sun beating down. I've personally had no issues with the heater not keeping up, even in sub zero weather
hope not dumb twucker and Knucklehead Thank this.
