this is why i want to lease anything but a Freightliner. If i’m the one paying for the maintenance, fuel, insurance, etc.. i should theoretically be able to lease whichever truck i want, but i digress. They’re the ones that make that call, not me. So if i’m stuck in a Cascadia for 4 years, then so be it
Taking a trailer to CB to get a couple things done to it so i don’t become “that guy” who drops trailers with problems to let others deal with. It has a marker light out and is due for service

So a finish my tour of duty on the NJ Dedicated team. Was basically one week instead of the intended two weeks due to the round trip I had to take to SC but it was an interesting week.
Basically was given four loads all roll off stock heading to WV and then back empty to repeat. Went to one dealer three times and a second dealer once. Each load was basically there in one day and return the second day but I tried to start/end somewhere in between so I didn’t have to hunt for a hidey hole in NJ every other night.
Worked out pretty good and was nice to experience a different aspect of our business. I would certainly help them out again in the future if needed but I’m fairly sure I won’t be signing on full time.
All those hills and curves in WV just tore up any cushion I had on the clocks. And my truck just didn’t like the route as every time I looked down she was running a bit slow and cautious.
But ya, was a nice week of doing something different and better prepared should they need to pull a driver in to help cover a vacation or backlog.
Heading back to Omaha this week and taking some RTO in CB & Lincoln with my friends and their kids. Check the truck into the Shop for its 8k and hopping in my PV and heading to Lincoln.

Someone mentioned that ACT may take over our part of the yard. There isn’t a single one of their trailers or trucks in here. If anything, CR England is taking over the yard
