Hey, question on CDL for people under 21. States can allow them to operate “In State” but is the only difference age or is it up to the States to set rules and regs on CDL under 21? I can see States using the same criteria for both for simplicity and standardization but wasn’t sure it was required by Feds to be the same. Having a conversation online and wasn’t sure myself.

18-21 years and it’s “Intrastate Only” across the board.

 

Some states might not require a medical card, but that would be about the only thing I think.

 

I did have a good steak there once. But the parking is an interesting mix.

That last part is good advice.

 

Slow unload in STL prevented me from picking up in Paducah yesterday afternoon. Parked at the Padookey peelot and for those that don’t know, don’t. They’re renovating.

Went into shipper at 7 this morning and was out by 7:40. Went back to the poolot and weighed the load. Needless to say, I had to go back. The best part was the fact the guys were absolutely bamboozled how a “47,000” lb load could put me overweight.

1) my truck weighs (in it’s flatbed form) 30,600lbs
2) you can only haul 40k on the trailer of a flatbed
