FWIW I usually stay out 3-5 weeks and am home 4-5 days as a company driver. Have been home for a week before.

Picked up 4 roll on units at CWC Nashville this morning. Nice light easy load up to Fort Dodge. I’ll have it there tomorrow morning at first of business for them. (I might let them get their first cup of coffee in before I get there, haven’t decided)

I can think of only one instance where hot and humid is better than hot and dry...

Delivered my Kawasakis this morning in fort dodge, and drove across the road to pick up something from a container place going to Crete.

Got there right before their lunch break and behind 2 trucks.

Dispatch had me split off of the load in Fremont for someone else to pair up with a Crete load, from there I took an empty flat to valley. Destined for Brenham Tx for Thursday.

Somewhere between Valley and York, my ac decided to take a break for the day. While at a red light I shut the truck off and turned it back on again to no avail. Everything looks good under the hood (aka no melted sensors at compressor and belt still attached). Hopefully it works in the morning. Thankfully the apu is free to release cold air for me tonight.

Lived in South Florida for a few years. Beautiful weather but I missed having Seasons and the air was always so thick. I didn’t care for the thick humid air. But as an upshot, when I’m back in the Midwest, the summers don’t seem nearly as hot… lol

Seems like Kawasaki in Savannah is hit and miss, today got in three hours earlier than my scheduled delivery and very few trucks on site. Bounced over to Richmond Hill, Ga for a Menards load for Shelby, Iowa. I don’t know if this will be a regular run out of here, but new warehouse and easy to get to.

Both my RM GPS app and Apple Maps doesn’t like the address. Been there now twice and both times had to dig into the directions to find it. Both seem to think it’s someplace on the other side of I95. Both in totally different places.

I requested that we add to the instructions that it’s the far end of the warehouse. I was sitting waiting at the wrong door while they returned from their lunch break. Not a big deal and I might remember the next time I’m there.

but ya, nice return run to Shelby.
