That place has been a demolition derby for a LONG time. Way before the Californians and New Yorkers started running to TX.

Depends on the time frame. The very first time I drove down there almost 25 years ago I was yelling at people through my windshield. Within 4 miles I kept passing the same few cars repeatedly. Sometimes they were on my right, sometimes on my left... they kept jumping lane to lane, and finally when the traffic loosened up, one of them rear ended another car, and jacked it up again. Then a few miles up the road, around Mckinney, two more of the five I kept passing had each hit two other cars. Another time, I was on the I-20 frontage road just West of Bonnie View, and two cars passed me, one on each side, then they BOTH cut me off, and sideswiped each other. I didn't make contact with either, so I kept on going and pulled into the gate at Schneider. I walked out there to see how things were going, and neither one of their stories were even close to what happened. I suggested that if it were really important, they may be able to get a bird's eye view... and pointed to two cameras on the gate at Schneider, and two more on the tire shop that were all pointed right at where the crash happened... They both backpedalled.... HARD.

I lived near Weatherford for 15 years. The last 3 I was running tanker out of NW Ft Worth. Pick up a clean empty, then go to the shipper in Garland- NE side of Dallas off of 635. did a d&h a head out usually east on i 20 or north on I 35w. I would leave home so I could be in and out of Garland before 5:30 am.
I lived there from 1996 to 2011 and for sure they always drove with that me first attitude. And get some snow/ice then they would speed up. Idiots.

I remember the first time I was ever in Dallas. We went to Six Flags for vacation.... That was the first time I heard "What the ####?" that many times that close together. This was in the mid 1980's.

First time for me was in 1973. Where I 30 now runs the highway was a turnpike. Only exits were at TX 360 at Arlington and Loop 12 coming into Dallas. Was like that until the pike was paid off in 1977. If a person was going straight through, it was a pleasant drive.

@rokue From where your at, it seems like ABQ freightliner is gonna be your best bet, they sucked back in 2006. Spent a lovely week there with a turbo issue.

Glad your ok though, even happier thru guilty party didn’t run.
