Sounds like normal insurance company operating procedure.

Yeah, good luck getting an insurance company to pay you lost revenue.

My truck got hit a few years ago on a Walmart DCs location by their yard truck and they paid for the damage, but basically told me to pound sand when it came to lost revenue.

A legal service might cost more than the downtime also but if I don't get anything then I might have to see about those costs because that money would be handy towards paying for a new truck.

You shouldn’t have to worry about paying a legal service, that’s what your insurance company is supposed to do. I know one guy who’s gotten downtime but he had Great West and Great West fought the other insurance company for it.

March of 23 he was headed back to NE from Yakima in his new KW. Had less than 1000 miles on it when one of Chicago’s finest in a hot shot lost control on 212 and sideswiped him, pushing him into the snowbank along the road. Everything looked legit at roadside but when Great West started chasing their money they found out the company only had insurance on a few of their vehicles, and all the rest, including the one that hit my friend, weren’t insured at all. Scott asked what he needed to do and Great West told him not to worry, that’s what their legal team was for.

It was 3 months to get his truck repaired because of parts shortages, and I want to say another 4 after that when Great West said everything was handled. He got a pretty nice check out of it because he’d already sold his previous truck and went 3 months waiting for his new one.

Edit to add: the one time I got backed into out in Utah I called my insurance (Great West) right away because the other insurance doesn’t want to deal with your own insurance because they want to lowball on everything. I let Great West pay to repair my truck and then they get their money from the other party.

It’s a good place, you can sleep there if needed. Go north on 59 to Ferndale Road and wind your way back to the mill. Put some straps in your trailer. It’s a lumber load. Make sure your tandems are about centered on their track, too far back and you’ll drag the side skirts backing into the dock, too far forward and your ICC bumper will drag.

Follow the directions from the macro (though you can go straight up from Brazil on IN 59. The construction on 59 it's trying to get you around is done. Co-Pilot will get you lost or stuck. You will cross a 20 odd ton bridge close to the place. That will really make Co-Pilot mad. The theory is only set of axles is on the bridge at a time.
It's pretty tight and skinny back in there but not bad overall.
