Insurance is too expensive to collect cars for the average guy
Friend and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Bold of you to assume I actually have insurance on all my vehicles...two of them don't have insurance because they are either not driven or parked for the winter.
I have 2 cars with liability only that's $63 for the both of them.
Also thanks for reminding me to remove a car from my policy. Throwing away money insuring a car i don't even own anymoreLast edited: Oct 16, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Friend, MidWest_MacDaddy, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
PSA
Don't trust thumping your tires to evaluate whether they're fully inflated or not. I had a drive tire sound just fine. It definitely wasn't flat. Checked with two tire gauges and they both read about 65 psiFriend, hope not dumb twucker and rokue Thank this. -
After a bum day or two I'm rolling decent again. Picked up a load in Mead, NE of roofing materials or some such and made it to Rochelle, IL. Delivering in Chicagoland this morning to some place in Aurora. Looked the address up and it's some mechanics union office. Probably getting a new roof if I had to guess. No truck dock in sight so I wonder if it's like a couple of those Lozier loads I've had in the past where I show up and they unload me in the parking lot.
After that I'm set up to swing down to Romeoville to take a load to Lincoln, then swing up to Fremont and take a load to Edwardsville. I will need a 34 at some point, probably after I pick up the Edwardsville loadFriend, hotrod1653 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
I’ve had loads out of Mead that were jobsite deliveries. I usually just got in the trailer and slid the stacks to the back instead of waiting for them to find someone to do it.
Friend and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
I found the culprit of the lower tire pressure. It's a very slow leak and definitely not audible
hope not dumb twucker and Friend Thank this. -
Patch and go. I miss the tires on my ol truck the double coins I had on my truck had lots better traction than these DL11 hancook
Friend Thanks this. -
Picked up a nail in my steer yesterday. Noticed it was 60psi when i was leaving the kawasaki dealer in popular bluff. Luckily there was a pomps next door. Ended up replacing the tire. Had 45k miles on that steer.
