I was wondering if you went towards home in SC after your load to CT and if you had to cross the GWB to get there.

I had to fight my way down to Aberdeen, Maryland after getting empty in Connecticut, and yes I had the pleasure of crossing the GWB. I grabbed my loaded trailer in Maryland heading to University Park, Illinois and hit the Baltimore evening rush. I made it to Hagerstown and shut down at AC&T truck stop. This was one of my favorite truck stops when I ran up and down the 81 corridor.

With the 2.5 hours I lost yesterday fighting traffic, I knew making my drop today was going to be tight with my available hours. I thought I might make it, but hit traffic as I exited the Indiana toll road, so I shutdown at the Petro in Gary. I will drop this tomorrow morning, and bounce over to Bolingbrook and grab a load going to Nebraska.

I slept at AC&T last night too, that’s one of my favorite truck stops as well. I remember seeing an FCC truck a few parking spaces from my truck. If you have a white truck and pulled in around 1900, then I was parked about 4 spots away from you.

That was me. Years ago before they built all those distribution centers around there, that place was a hidden gem. I could pull in there at 10pm and have my choice of spots. Not anymore.

Yeah seriously, that dang Tractor Supply Co distribution center always keeps tons of US Xpress bob tails lurking around the ACT and the pilot next door. What a pain!

Btw this is a great thread you’ve got going. Your Cheeseman & Schneider threads were also very good reads. Next time we stop at AC&T again, the deli fried chicken is on me. Lol

Sounds good. That's usually what I get, but last night I went with the rotisserie chicken.

Agreed I used to stop there all the time and never had a problem finding a spot. Glad things are still going well for you.

Dropped in Blair, Nebraska this morning, no available empties at customer, so I bobtailed to our Council Bluffs yard and picked up an empty. Then deadheaded just East of KCMO to pick up a load going to Greenville, SC for Monday. I have home time scheduled for Sat., Sun., and Mon. I will deliver the load Monday morning, and then go back home and leave out Tuesday morning.

I chose not to go home for Thanksgiving, the wife and youngest daughter are going out of town for her 21st birthday and to see the grandkids. I will stay out until X-mas, and may stay home until after New Years. With our length of haul they assure me that they can keep me moving over the Thanksgiving holiday.
