Got both stops off before 1230, bounced 16 miles to Puyallup, Washington and live loaded going to Greeley, Colorado. Made it over snoqualmie with just wet roads, probably run through some snow tomorrow. Hopefully cabbage is decent in the morning.

    (Heaping more praises upon FCC)

So today I had a simple DnH... turned out the trailer I’m hooking to has an issue...

Spoke first to Eric who helped troubleshoot the issue and then it was determined that we needed a OTR repair ... sent me to Shane who took it from there and he asked a few more questions and arranged a visit to the local Wabash Dealer up the road.

The whole thing went so dang smooth and drama free... it might sound strange but it was the most pleasant breakdown I’ve ever dealt with... LOL

Again, as a Driver, I very much appreciate our team back in the offices... it feels good to know that they have our backs.

oh, the little delay put me in a bind for delivery, not this load but my next load back to GA... and without any drama my DM quickly adjusted my orders to drop at some yard in East STL to grab my next load so that hard appointment time doesn’t get jacked up.

    Well Done FCC, Well Done

Came across Cabbage this afternoon. Sunny skies and temps in the 50's on the west side coming up the hill. How often do you hear that kind of weather report for that area this time of year?

Absolutely. I came over Cabbage about 0630, easy running. For a PNW run this time of year it was pretty smooth.

Did you get stuck in any of that bad weather around Elk Mtn today. Saw last night that 80 was closed before going to bed. And by the carnage I saw today, there must have been quite a few wrecks.

I tiptoed through there about 1100 this morning, strong cross wind (luckily I had 38k in the box) roads were ice covered. At that time everyone was driving cautiously and smart.

I watched and waited. I have plenty of time on my load, but not a lot of hours to drive, so I let the road crews do their thing. Still a patch of ice here and there, but you could keep at least one side of your tires on pavement. Plenty of blowing snow still. Glad I'm not a road cleaner in that area, they must get dizzy driving around in circles trying to keep the drifts down.

Vic Firth and runningman0661 Thank this.

Delivered in Greeley Wednesday, they took me two hours before my appointment. My next load didn’t live load down in Aurora until the following day at 1030. They had me in a door right at 1030, and I had the paperwork in hand by 1115. I dropped that load at Smithfield foods in Crete lastnight about 2000. Thank goodness I didn’t wash my truck before going into that S-hole, it makes Lozier look like a cement paradise. I bounced up to Columbus, Nebraska and will pick up a preloaded trailer going to South Carolina once my clock tells me I’m alert and safe to drive at 0830.

I’ve taken many 10 hours on the side of the road there when I was at CFI no problem
