FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I won’t ever complain about getting 1.400+ mile runs... especially after Sumter added that nice new big drop yard... all three are easy DnH on both ends.

 

George I’m headed that way to fuel there at Bosselman. So I-80 is closed there? I have a delivery also at Grand Island,NE for Habor Freight.
I’m coming up on 283 any suggestions?
Seeing also that a good part of I-70 is also close.

Delivered my irrigation pivot this morning 25 miles away from the meeting point with the crew in Unadilla GA.

preplan was a Tuesday morning 7am pickup for a load of steel to go to Valley NE.

Called DM and told him I was 3 hrs away (11am Monday) and he said he’ll see what he can do.

20 mins later get a message across QC, “pickup rescheduled for Monday 3pm.”

Headed into Tuscaloosa to get loaded. And sitting at one of the new Loves on I-22.

My truck is due for a grease job, so may take care of that Wednesday afternoon. Before I deliver Thursday.

 

It is right now, but you should be able to make your delivery. They may reopen i80 in the morning. Thats what local news is reporting. Its not due to snow here but trying to prevent traffic going to Colorado and Wyoming.

 

Wyoming is still closed as of right now...so more than likely i80 in Nebraska is still shut down..

 

I was in that mess. Stopped for 3 hours.

 

After almost a year and a half at FCC I discovered the workout room. Nice bonus when the weather sucks.

 

That's a treadmill? In my house that's the clothes rack for our everyday clothes...who knew

 

Got to Grand Island, NE with extra time before the delivery. I stop at Bosselman for my last fuel stop and in the process a young man approached me and said....” excuse me sir“ (I quickly said in my mind... “here we go... going to ask for money “) But then he said ... We will like to offer you a Free truck and trailer wash.

I said Free! Did just say free!
The young man responded yes sir... It will only take 8 minutes! We are testing our new wash facility here and will like to try our drive through system on your truck and trailer.

I said... Ok!

For those of you that don’t know Bosselman/Pilot has a new truck wash being finish.

I drove the truck and trailer through there system just like you would do with a car (It felt like being in a hurricane at one point! Lol! But the truck and trailer were completely cleaned and shined for FREE!
And it really took only 8 minutes!
