Gotcha. I messed around with the navigation thing on my Qualcomm and it couldn’t find the address for Sysco in Olathe, which I feel is pretty straight forward. So that was enough of that.

I used to use it for everything. Had it on my iPad on a dash mount. I also had the Garmin set up for rest areas and truck stops. However, now that I am on this dedicated account I really dont need to pay for Co Pilot anymore. I know where I am going and if a new one should pop up Google Maps covers it good enough.

My window mounted Garmin GPS and Google Maps on my phone as a backup is all I use... That and the old trusty Rand McNally map book of course! Still comes in handy from time to time, it's funny to think now, when I started this racket I had no GPS, no smartphone, yet I still managed to make it everywhere on time LOL. Now we can't live without these #### things

Just imagine what dinosaurs we are going to seem like the new drivers in another 15-20 years... I can see it now, "what! You mean you drove with no GPS, no smartphone, no e logs, no collision avoidance, no side radar, no roll stability or traction control , and you had to shift gears on your own??!!"

By then it will be....you actually drove the truck? If the job survives another 15 years....

Don't forget the 3 shoe boxes of every city map you could get to find your customer's address...and a roll of quarters for the payphone...and no Qualcomm/Peoplenet to track you....gawd I miss (some) of the good ole days.

My companies wouldn't allow loose leaf logs, I just had 3 or 4 different logbooks depending on how busy of a month it was.
