Actually took my reset in OKC, as long as I can get a good cell signal I use my WIFI hot spot and watch Netflix. Makes a 34 a little more bearable.

Delivered my load in Marion, Indiana, in and out in 45 minutes. Bounced up to Addison, Illinois and picked up a preloaded trailer going to Blair, Nebraska for a drop tomorrow. Going to get a grease and lube tomorrow and have them charge my AC system. Then picking up a preloaded trailer in Lincoln for a delivery Tuesday morning in Ontario, California.

Taking a 34 in Barstow, deliver this in Ontario in the morning, and then picking up a load in Carson going back to Indiana. The only problem is the load is scheduled for a delivery a week from today, I can be back at our yard in Council Bluffs by Thursday, hopefully dispatch will let me drop it and keep rolling.

Dropped my Indiana load at the Council Bluffs yard, and picking up a trailer in Omaha going to Orlando for Monday morning.

After getting empty in Orlando I picked up a broker load in Lakeland going to Hickory, NC. Originally the delivery was set up for Wednesday, but I told the company and the broker I could be there by Tuesday morning. They send me a new delivery date and time for Tuesday at 1000. Cool, So I beat feet and get to the receiver at 0930, the guard says “ uh we quit receiving at 0600, they will have to reschedule for tonight.” WTF? So I do the dance with dispatch, and get a 2100 appt for later that day. My dispatcher says he will speak to the Ops manager and try and get some money thrown my way for the miscommunication. Luckily we don’t rely to much on brokered freight, but I guess that’s trucking.
Our payroll cut off is Monday at 1700, but when a holiday falls on Monday our cut off is that previous Friday. I had been rolling over one trip because of the early cut off, so I will turn in that trip and the load out of Florida in, it will meet my fixed costs and fuel for the week, and meet my weekly profit goal. So I originally had my home time scheduled for Saturday-Tuesday, but after the broker fiasco and only being 50 miles from the house, I just told them I would be heading home when empty, and would come back out Monday morning. Be safe!Vic Firth, mushroom1464 and MagnumaMoose Thank this.
