Just met one of our semi retired shag drivers while unloading at a reciever in Omaha, very nice gentleman named Mac. It's nice to be someplace where when you meet a fellow driver they aren’t b*&^%$#@ about the company they work for. And he's been here 16 years, that says something!

Twas a good day for me. 630 miles and I still had 75 minutes left on my drive clock.

If the weather pans out like the forecasts say, I may go to Anaheim via I-10....

Recovered from my Covid and left out yesterday with a load from Claremont NC dropping in Roca NE before lunch tomorrow. 663 miles today from West Knoxville to Concordia MO. Can't believe it but running the a/c. Still in the 50s here.

I've had to run my A/C here in the southwest. It was 70-75 in the LA basin and in the 50's near 60 in the high desert. Not particularly hot but sun beating down on essentially a metal and fiberglass box will make AC necessary if it's only 50 outside

Fyi, watch your p’s & q’s on i10 in Arizona…Arizona dps along with other agencies are doing operation southern shield and troopers are riding in trucks targeting trucks and the cars who drive stupid around them all week from New Mexico line to Phoenix.

Not like I can break the speed limit, and I don't generally drive like I gotta poop anyway (unless I gotta)... thanks for the heads up. I ran down that way last week too, and got held up by someone rolling his truck into the median outside Tucson, spilling a bunch of Nitric Acid.

    Cobrawastaken and drvrtech77 Thank this.

So I pull into where I park the truck on home time Friday. Just as I log off the Omnitracs FCC calls me, “we need a favor, can you run that empty over to a costumer in NC?” I said “not today I can’t, I’ve got a uhaul trailer scheduled to be picked up, and then I’m running up to our seasonal campsite to haul my golf cart down to the shop to get some work done to it.” Dispatch says “well they really need an empty.” Sorry, you can call me at the last minute and expect me to change my plans. I say “I can have it there first thing Saturday morning.” That’ll work.

So I drive an hour and 15 minutes one way to drop this desperately needed empty at the customer on my scheduled time off. So this morning they send me back to the same customer to grab an empty, and low and behold I hook to the same empty I took up there Saturday. Things that make you go hmmm.

After hooking to the empty I deadheaded over Taylors, Sc and live loaded a load going up to Grand Island for Friday morning.
