Bear in mind that I can't stand mayor pete... but AZ and NM highways were dog #### WAY before that clown was appointed. I don't agree with some notion of social justice being used to distribute fed highway funds, but that doesn't make the condition of I-40 the Fed's fault.

Does anyone else who drives a Cascadia get some poor FM radio reception?
I won't bore you with technical details but there's a few radio stations in the Wichita area that has high power and tall transmitters that routinely throws its signal almost 90 miles to the south and west. Yet in my truck I'm lucky if I get half that range. And with lower powered stations it's even worse. Even a local station I listen to goes out when you get 25-30 miles away from the transmitter. There's also this very audible high pitched whine that is present on most frequencies. Some are worse than others. My white truck did it too but not as pronounced. My red truck is especially bad. And its extremely sensitive to hills and terrain. A lot more than normal. 30 miles outside of town and you drop into a valley or encounter a hill? Might as well forget the music or local programming you're listening to. Kind of ridiculous since I listen to a lot of local radio and one minute you're listening just fine and next moment all you get is a headache inducing whine out of the speakers.
I've tried turning my inverter off to see if it would be interfering but it had no affect.
The AM band doesn't seem to be affected.IH9300SBA and runningman0661 Thank this. -

I got so tired of trying to “find local radio” only to drive out if it within several minutes, I don’t even touch the radio anymore.
I don’t even use the S/XM part outside a few presets because it’s so hard to channel surf to find something. That interface is terrible.
stream everything.IH9300SBA and runningman0661 Thank this. -

Just finished up an early dinner at the Outpost cafe (never disappoints) in Hesperia, about 1900 I will ease on down to stage up for my 2230 appointment in San Bernardino.

Got where I wanted to take my 34 at. Boise City, OK. A town of about 1200 residents.
So glad to be in this part of the country again. Flat land as far as the eye can see. Some people call it boring, but being born and raised in this part of the country, I find the Great Plains to be truly beautiful and mesmerizing. But I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
This little town is great though. Dairy Queen just a block or two down the street, a Dollar General right across from the Love's, and a Cafe downtown, all within easy walking distance. And everyone is friendly.
I will head on out Tuesday morning for Bosselman's in Grand Island, then deliver Wednesday.
@BigR you were right. Despite for a boatload of Church traffic going somewhere, 56 is a mostly empty highway compared to 54. -
How often do we actually fuel up at Love's? Finally got myself a Love's card. I've had a couple of Love's fuel solutions with a 50 gallon fuel up but I skipped them since I could make the next stop with the fuel I had. Bear in mind the only load I've taken out east was one to Pennsylvania. The rest of my loads have been down south or out west.
Also I'm assuming we are allowed to skip those 50 gallon fuel solutions based on our judgement? The program apparently thinks I drive a 5-6 mpg brick, and my fuel gauge is way off. I've ran it down to E and only put 175 gallons in a truck that has dual 120 tanks. Something doesn't add up. Even the Cascadia I had with Magnum reported way less fuel than was actually available. -
