Got both of my stops off this morning in Nebraska before 1000, bounced up to the Fremont terminal and put my truck in for a service and to get he APU fixed. Knocked out a load of laundry and went over to safety to see if our quarterly safety bonus checks had been cut yet, unfortunately not until next week.

Got the truck out of the shop about 1530 and got a load going back out to the Pacific NW In Washington state for a Monday delivery.

Thanks, it took me awhile , but I finally found the company that is perfect for me. The lanes we run are awesome, they keep me preplanned and rolling, and very little petty BS.
    Enjoy your vacation!

Made it to North Bend, Washington. I’m 41 miles from my delivery, can’t deliver until 2300 Monday night. I have just enough time to squeeze in a reset.

Normally our payroll cut off is Monday at 1700 central time, but I talked to the young lady in payroll and told her I wasn’t delivering until late PST. on Monday night and asked if there was any way she could get this trip in on next weeks settlement, she said absolutely, she just needs a heads up in advance to keep an eye out for the paperwork on Tuesday when she comes in. I won’t make it a habit, but it’s nice to know she will work with me.

Got empty this morning at 0100, came down to Sumner, Wa. 7 miles away and parked at my next customer. I’m currently being loaded on a 2420 mile run going to Bowling Green, Ky. 30 minutes after backing into a door I’m live loaded and ready to roll. I’m 6.5 hours into a 10 hour break, so I’m just going to finish up this 10 here and get rolling. Be safe!

Change of plans, trying to make my delivery before close of business on Friday was going to be tight, so instead of making me babysit the load all weekend I will be dropping this load in our yard in Fremont sometime Thursday and grabbing a load up to Minnesota for a delivery Friday.

My dispatcher Ben is awesome, he’s very proactive and does his absolute best to keep me being productive. He called me yesterday and asked if I had assisted on my load out of Oregon last week, I said indeed I had (we are supposed to get prior approval) neither location had a dock and I just used a pallet jack to get the pallets to the back of the trailer for the forklift. He asked why I didn’t note it on the paperwork as a driver assist, I said because it wasn’t a big deal. He said “I can’t get you paid for helping if you don’t note it.” He’s going to make sure I get paid for helping. I say again, Ben is an amazing dispatcher.

Sounds like my dispatcher...it's good to see that there are still some people in the offices of companies that give a darn and not just keeping their office chair warm.

Delivered in Minnesota on Friday morning, and bounced down to Owatonna to a regular customer for a live load, in and out in 35 minutes. I dropped that load at out yard in Council Bluffs. From there I grabbed an empty and went 17 miles to Omaha to pick up a preloaded trailer going out to Phoenix, Arizona.

    Owatonna...was it the dogfood place?

We deliver glass to a big customer down the street from there...

That’s it, I was wondering if you delivered to that big glass distributor.
