And it shouldn’t change either. Yes, we all hit bumps here and there for a variety of reasons but your experience will be the same as many here. FCC is a #### good place to be. You might have a period of time “waiting for the other shoe to drop” and that’s normal because it’s trucking and what other companies do. But ya, the feeling of “too good to be true” will settle in and then you can just focus on the job at hand.

personally, I liked the professionalism I saw, and see, here at FCC at all levels and I think it impacts the Drivers to be better too. The office sets that bar high from day one.

we are not just a cog in the machine but rather part of a full team of people getting the job done. And that alone just feels different.

if you have any questions this thread is full of answers… and most are correct answers too… LOL … and you have my number too. Got issues or problems we are all out here together.

PS … time for a name change ;-)

So my Better Half is on the Truck with me for a month while she is on Summer Break from Teaching. Will be interesting having someone along for the ride again.

… and hopefully we survive… LOL

Just arrived in Fremont and was handed the keys for a very nice vehicle to use for my stay here .....not at all like the the roached out ghetto cruzers most companies provide .
Then checked into a very nice holiday inn ....again not at all like the nasty El Rauncho lodging most companies provide.

First load for SWR and it's a strange one. I'll be deadheading to KCMO in the morning and picking up a trailer headed to Eagan, MN. I'm not complaining at all though. I-35 is a good drive, especially once you get north of Des Moines and Ames, and plenty of Kwik Trip's to stop and grab some food at.

Funny you say that, before I went home for a few days I took my favorite load S. Sioux City, NE to Albuquerque, came outta the house Tuesday morning to deliver in Schuyler, NE. Then got a load out of Aurora, NE going back down to Los Lunas,NM. I ain't complaining though, love that lane, us-56 from Clayton, NM to Springer, NM is one of my favorite drives in the country. Funny, it's probably been 6 months since I've been out here, then back to back loads!... that's how it works with freight. Probably be another 5-6 months till I get this again, better enjoy while I can lol.... sure is nice to be out of Texas and off I-35 for a little while.

The only section of US-56 I don't like is the Oklahoma portion. That stretch of road is pretty rough with no shoulder. Beats dodging pot holes on I-40 in AZ though.

That is rare, think I've delivered Minnesota a couple times and Wisconsin once on this fleet. It'll be a nice change of pace once you get on the Texas and back routine. You'll get an Edwardsville, IL off the KC yard occasionally, and a Loveland, CO or Cheyenne, WY once in awhile. But NE/TX will be the norm, always nice to change it up. Welcome to SWR brother, if ya got any questions on our normal customers or anything hit me up.
