Same. If they paid by the hour then it would be minimum wage and then they would have to hire two babysitters for every driver to catch them screwing off and milking the clock. (As mentioned above) no thanks. Pay me a fair CPM and let me be responsible for my bottom line.

    Glad you were joking.

    Probably a Red one. ;-)

While I have my preferences, I’ll be happy with whatever they give me (except a freightliner) and I know they will maintain it well while I’m in that seat for the next 500k.

I'm in the same preference boat as you. I want anything but a Freightliner for my next truck. I've had 5 trucks, all Cascadia's. I've ridden in a 579 and a T680, and compared to them, the ride in the Freightliner's I've had have been appalling to say the least. Then again I own two Lincoln Town Car's, so I may be spoiled when it comes to ride quality. How nothing has broken or fallen off this truck boggles my mind. I'll deal with it though.

Swung by the house last night for 10. Every once in awhile there's advantages to running SWR. Quick easy day today, run down to Lancaster drop then pick up in Duncanville and head back home for the weekend. Shell Rock bound Monday morning . Be safe out there y'all

Also fleets might be having a hard time finding drivers that can drive a manual. Unless you test out for your CDL you will get an A on your license meaning you can only drive an auto

I thankfully tested on a manual so I don't have that restriction. Even though I'm not a whiz on one, if my truck were to require several days of repairs and the only spare truck they had was a manual, I'd be able to drive it decently enough.

    Still prefer autos though.

Any of you SW region drivers tell me what I might get after delivering in San Antonio on Monday? Do we load anything out of there or will bounce to Houston or DFW?

Im delivering to Paxton hardwoods, anything I should know about the receiver?

    bzinger Thanks this.

Couldn’t make it to Redlands with my available hours, just a few minutes shy and they need it today, so swapping with another driver. I will take his load going to San Antonio for Monday.
